Jumbo Ringneck Pheasants


The largest pheasant breed is the Extra Large Ringneck.

This breed is primarily Mongolian blood and is a challening bird for dogs to get into flight as it tends to be a ground runner.

The cock typically weughs between 3- 5 lbs. and hens 2.5 – 3 lbs at maturity.

This bird is often used by clubs and growers for meat production.

Mongolian Ring-Necked Pheasant

More common in the eastern United states. This original breed pheasant due to its size and characteristics, its sought out by hunt clubs for field hunting purposes. There is plenty of meat for table consumption, and beautiful feathering for taxidermy work. Males range from 4-5 pounds Females 3-4 pounds.
